OMO by Vorstar
Album Campaign Direction
I led the campaign from the first treatment to the final release. I directed and shot the film while shaping its visual identity, post-production, marketing and rollout across Nigeria, South Africa and international audiences.
Overview
One clear idea, carried from concept to release.
OMO needed more than a music video. The project required a visual identity that could move naturally between Lagos and Cape Town, then remain consistent across broadcast, radio, press, streaming and social media.
I stayed hands-on throughout: developing the treatment, directing and shooting the film, guiding casting and production design, leading the edit and VFX, and helping shape the campaign's promotion and release.
I intentionally chose a filmic visual style that would feel timeless rather than trend-led. Natural texture, considered framing and a restrained colour palette give the work an evergreen quality that can remain relevant for years.

The Process
A connected visual process.
The work moved from planning and visual development to production, post and release. Each stage strengthened the same story.
-
Campaign architecture: narrative, references, Lagos and Cape Town locations, schedule and production checklist. Planning
Turning the idea into a practical plan.
A shared production board brought the treatment, references, schedule, equipment, locations and delivery dates together. It kept the Lagos and Cape Town teams aligned from the start.

Nigeria visual development: street texture, movement, choreography, portraiture and colour. Lagos
A visual language rooted in place.
The Nigeria production moved between street life and controlled interiors. Through my leadership and creative art direction, these textures connected naturally with Cape Town's open landscapes. Each country kept its own character while contributing to one coherent visual story.

Brainstorming to Production
Colour Comparison
Depth & Composition
Identity & Emotion
South Africa scene map: camera moves, vehicles, coastal geography, colour temperature and day progression. Cape Town
Expanding the world while keeping it connected.
For Cape Town, I planned vehicle shots, drone movement and transitions around the changing light. Cool morning tones gradually gave way to warmer evening colour, creating a cinematic second chapter that still belonged to the same film.
-
Production frames: ensemble performance and lifestyle storytelling across the campaign world. Production
Directing performance, place and pace.
I directed and shot the film across Lagos and Cape Town while also leading production design. Cast movement, styling, cars and landscape were composed to serve both the artist's story and the wider campaign.
-
Post-Production
Protecting the idea through the final cut.
I edited the film and led its titles and VFX, carrying the visual rhythm into the finished piece. The final video became the centre of the broadcast, radio, press, playlist and social campaign.
Final Frames
The finished visual world.
Selected graded frames from Lagos and Cape Town, moving between street life, performance, portraiture and open landscape.
